Prof. Mohan Munasinghe



A physicist and climatologist of Sri Lankan origin, Prof. Munasinghe is Founder Chairman of the Munasinghe Institute for Development (MIND), Sri Lanka, and is a KIVA Guest Professor at Darmstadt University, Germany; Visiting Professor at the Vale Sustainable Development Institute, Federal University of Pará, Brazil; Distinguished Guest Professor at Peking University, China; and International Advisory Board Member, SCI, University of Manchester, UK. Previously, he was a Senior Advisor/Manager at World Bank, Washington DC, covering sustainable development, environmental policy, water, energy and transport; as well as Chancellor, International Water Academy, Oslo; and Director-General, Sustainable Consumption Institute, University of Manchester.


He has received several honorary doctorates (honoris causa), and was the Vice-Chair of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-AR4) that shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with IPCC colleagues and former US Vice President Al Gore.

Subramaniam Eassuwaren


A graduate in law from the University of Oxford, Subra is the co-founder of the Carbon Consulting Company and its sister firm, the Conservation Carbon Company.


He is also the Deputy Chairman of Eswaran Brothers Exports (Pvt) Ltd – the tea exporting arm of the Eswaran Brothers Group, as well as of T-Print, a company that specialises in printing tags and labels for the packaging industry.

Subra has spoken extensively at international events on environmental conservation and is also a recipient of the JCI TOYP Award for Environmental Leadership.

Fazal Fausz



Fazal is the Managing Director of Rainco (Pvt) Ltd – a privately held manufacturing and distribution business focusing on a range of home utility products in Sri Lanka, India and the Maldives.


With a passion for marketing and brand management, he is also a Director and Chief Strategist for six subsidiaries of the Rainco Group, which vary from home decor to outdoor lifestyle and packaging. His interest in green space paved the way to start the Conservation Carbon Company and the Carbon Consulting Company.


Fazal received his primary and secondary education from Trinity College Kandy, and later received his MBA from the University of Wales.

Sanith de S. Wijeyeratne 

Director / Chief Executive Officer 


Sanith holds an MBA from PIM Sri Lanka, is an Attorney-at-Law, and has been at the helm of The Carbon Consulting Company since shortly after its inception,  taking it from its start-up phase to its current status as the country's leading provider of Sustainability Solutions. Prior to CCC, he counts over 10 years experience in Strategic Planning, Communications & Advertising Management.


He has been invited to be a Distinguished Speaker at The Forum on Climate Change Response in Seoul 2016.  He was nominated as  a Master Speaker  on the  “Impact of COP 21 on Indian Industry, for the Confederation of  Indian Industry  & Indian Green Building Council and has been Invited by the ADB  to be an Expert Panelist at the South Asia Judicial Roundtable on Environmental Justice in 2014. He was further invited to be an Expert Speaker at the 4th Roundtable in Kathmandu Nepal in November 2015. He was a Expert Panelist at the 6th South Asian Economic Summit in 2013.  

Azam Ameer



Azam is a SAP Solution Architect and a Project Manager based in Sydney who has worked in multiple countries across the Asia Pacific region for over 10 years. Having a BSc in Business Management, he is accredited in Carbon Management and Carbon Accounting, whilst also being a member of the Carbon Management Institute of ANZ. He is currently reading for a Masters of Research in Sustainable Business.


Azam is a passionate advocate for a sustainable future and is working towards the goal that one day, people throughout the world will satisfy their basic needs and enjoy a better quality of life, without compromising the quality of life for future generations.
